I finally got Plex and PlexConnect working... I have 4 movies in my library. One .avi file,one mkv, one iso and one mp4.
The plex server is running on a Synology DS212j.
When I try to start any of them (from my Apple TV3) I get a message saying an error appeared, and to try again later. However, the mp4 file plays fine.
Does anyone have a clue what it might be ?
A DS212j cannot transcode see here of those four the only thing an atv can play natively is an mp4 so that is what is playing
fyi even if you got a more powerful box. an iso will never stream
You can also use iFlicks/Subler or similar to remux the media files to an ATV compatible format.

I have stream ISO from my MAC PRO to the ATV. Using firecore media player. I have not tried it with plexconnect.
