So with all the rumours that were buzzing around the net prior to the Apple press event I put off setting up my home media network to see what they were going to offer.
I will spare you all the usual rant of the failing of the new product announcement seen across forums everywhere but see that the glimmer of hope for this new ATV is the chance that Plex might be able to take advantage of the new Airplay feature due in the November IOS update.
So have developers been seeded the new IOS to play with and if so can a dev comment?
If Devs have not seen the new code can they comment as to if this possible feature would be a priority for them to work on?
PLEASE PLEX TEAM SAVE APPLES ATV!!!

I can not speak for the Plex Devs, but unless they have a room without windows and a very strict agreement with apple, they probably do not have access to iOS 4.2 yet. And if they have access they certainly can not comment due to said agreement 
It will be released by apple to it’s iOS developers within the month (my guess). Then we will be able to see if 3rd-party developers can access AirPlay. If they can, it will almost certainly be on the list of things to add.
Thank you for your point of view on this, I guess we were all expecting ATV to have app support so this will in my opinion be the only thing that would make me fork out for the ATV.
Well guess I will just have to sit back and wait for November to roll along.
