Window 11 - Server Up but No devices can see server - all say server is offline

Server Version#: 1.25.1.5286
Player Version#:Latest downloadable

I updated ton Windows 11 last night - and now no device can access the server - all say the server is offline. I can log locally into the server and all is up
And as suggested by another topic I, to remove all the devices and reauthorize them, but that did not fix my problem. I log in from the device and can see it getting reauthorized but there is no media and when I can on the device it says server is OFFLINE
I have restarted the server - turned off the firewall (just to rule that out)
Not a single device can connect
Since this is happening on all the devices (I have 7, andriod phone , TVs etc) it must be the server/windows 11

I’m having the same - or a similar - problem - it’s as if it’s been taken down - Error 404!

There are almost no experiences yet with Windows 11.
I can only give you the following:

Am I understanding you correctly, that you updated your Windows 10 installation to Windows 11, while leaving all installed programs in place?

First thing to check is that your network connection hasn’t been reset to “Public”, when it should be “Private”. (In the Windows “Network Connections” control panel)

Next thing to try is to download the latest Plex Server installer, then

  • close Plex server
  • uninstall Plex server by using the regular “Apps” control panel of Windows.
Do NOT use any “uninstaller” software or “registry cleaner” software!
  • install the downloaded Plex server version

This process should restore any firewall rules which might have been removed during the Windows upgrade.

Do not enable the new Windows “virtualization based app security” for Plex.

Hi
Thanks for the reply - just tried all of that - no success. Something seems to be blocking all my devices - the server works fine locally - can play movies etc-
After reinstall , I again tried all the devices in my home - no success - has anyone got it working with Window 11 - what i mean by that is via devices not locally on the server - as I mentioned before the server is functioning fine
Maybe I should delete all the meta data? running out of options
The netwrok is still private - I have turned off all firewall settings for now (even though it did allow plex in and out)

What do you mean by that? Isn’t that the opposite of what you are saying in the next sentence:

This will very likely not be helpful at all.

I mean the server running plex - when log in directly to the server - using http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html all works in the browers locally - also I noticed thge same browser locally https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/ gives me the same error as all the devices I have
eg, when I use my andriod phone with the plex client on it

Ok I got it working - I have to chnage my connections in network setting to secure then save and then back to preferred and save again
and then i changed the ethernet from any to the specific ip and save and then back to any and save again and now it all works!!! that is the only change I made (well not a change - just changing , save then unchanging , save), I reckon win 11 must have messed the network setting up

error 404 - are you sure your server is running have you tried restartinthe server?

I downloaded the update - then got that - even after doing what I believe to be restarting the server!
