Can I please have some help troubleshooting this issue. I have two windows PCs for plex playback on my two 1080p TVs. One gig ethernet and one wifi N around 800mbps link.
When I play a movie on either i get the tiniest skips where the video jumps a fraction. Occurs about every minute or so but then disspates further into the movie and appears to settle down.
My synology NAS is only a DS1815+ and my guess it is a transcoding issue but surely it shouldnt need to transcode when playing back locally on windows with plx media player?
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers
Mat

I’m getting these skips as well, I’m using chrome and windows 10 to view. It’s a windows 10 machine running the server, somehow these skips don’t occur as often on the app or at all. But the skip will be about 3-10 seconds of footage at a time when it happens, drives me nuts. I can’t acutally rewind to that part to re watch those frames either. So sometimes lines are just cut short and it’s crazy annoying.
Hi, Yes i am getting this as well now…
I have a windows 10 pc running plex server with a 1060 (6gb) card and and i7 with 16 gigi of ddr4
my data is on a netgear readynas 104 going through a HP managed switch! I have no network issues or any conflicts in packets… nothing obvious!
latest version of the server as it literally was updated about an hour ago, and I have Debug active with the “skip” option on???
