Player Version#: iOS 8.34, iPad OS 8.33, Nvidia Shield 10.15.1.659
Windows 23H2
I’m seeing some very strange behavior regarding my server and its libraries. I have two libraries I’m testing with that have some overlapping content and here’s the behavior in each client (this is all on my home network, though the same behavior exists on my phone on cellular):
iOS: Library 1 and 2 both say “[Server name] Plex is Unavailable” on the library tab. The top filter bar still says the number of films in the library, but the whole filter/sort bar is flickering. Recommended still works. Search still works, can play content via search.
iPad: Library 1 works normally. Library 2, “[Server name] Plex is Unavailable” for Library and Recommended. Search works.
Shield: Library 1 works normally. Library 2, “[Server name] Plex is Unavailable” for Library and Recommended. Search works.
Everything works perfectly on web and Windows desktop app.
Any help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated!

I’m still scratching my head on this. Any way to get eyes on it from support personnel?
Are you using any 3rd-party tools to automate stuff or manage shares?
Have you connected any apps which are not made by Plex Inc. to your plex account?
Have you provided a valid X-Plex-Token to any person or service or app?
@OttoKerner Thanks for the reply.

I don’t believe I’m using any third party tools with Plex. Is there a place I can check?
The only automation I have set up is in Task Scheduler to open Plex if it crashes for whatever reason.

I don’t think so

Not that I know of. Is there any way to check?
Thanks
Can anyone help me please?
DO I need to backup, uninstall, and re-install plex?
Windows issue?
Verify that windows has classified the network connection as “private”, not as “public”.
Enable debug server logging
(Do NOT enable “verbose” logging)
Stop Plex server
Start Plex server
Wait 3 minutes
Fetch server logs and post them here (whole zip please)
Thank you. Let me know if I did the logging correctly

Verify that there is plenty of free space left on your drive C:
Download the Plex server installer manually, from the link below.
Explicitly pick the 64bit version of the server.
Stop/Shut down the Plex server, execute the Installer.
Did you figure it out?
I have the same issues.
Works fine on web and webOS.
Does not work on any iOS device.
Says no connection with server - however, that is false as there are stuff under “Wishlist” that works just fine, and “Continue watching” has two tv series episodes which work just fine, from there I can click on actor/similar and have access to my entire library.
However, movies and tv-series get me nothing, and plex claims I have no conenction to the server.
Tried to delete and install plex server - but am unable to remove it for a fresh install. Its a zombie server which never goes away. A fresh install - and the same one, libraries and all pop up again.
Just felt it was relevant to inform thread owner he is not alone, combine our knowledge…
It seem to be the same issue.
I have tried some stuff, which might be good to know for thread owner in his struggle.
150gb available on the c drive. I uninstalled and reinstalled, same symptoms.
Are you using a pi-hole, or other advanced DNS resolver in your local network?
No special network settings like that
Could it be, that on iOS there are still older media sources pinned to the side bar?
How many servers do you see when you edit the side bar?
https://support.plex.tv/articles/customizing-the-mobile-apps-2/
No. For local servers I only have the one. I’m attaching a video. Recommended, playlists, and genres still work. You can see what happens when I go to the library tab. I get the shark error image, the top bar says I have 2,726 movies (which aren’t browsable), and the screen is a flickery mess. Some variation of this is now happening on Android TV, Xbox app, iOS, and various TVs. Everything besides the windows desktop client and the web version.
Do you know if this is a known issue and if a bug ticket has been filed? Seems like runarbt is having the same issue and it’s not resolved.
Not ruling out that something in my configuration is causing this, but because uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t work, I’m worried that I’ll have the same issue even if I backup the appdata, format the drive, perform a clean install of Windows, and copy the appdata back over.
What else can I check?
