Windows 11 Plex player possible fix for “Something went wrong. An unexpected error.” I was running into this problem on the current Windows Plex players one from the Microsoft Store and the other the Plex website, it ended up being a Memory Management problem. I could not startup the Plex App and view movies from another server at all. The problem appeared when I took 6GB of 16GB of system memory and allocated it to integrated graphics. Some people reported this problem corrected it when they went back to Windows 10, which would have more free memory than Windows 11. While Plex should not need so much memory when it is the only App running, I found Windows 11 grew the swap file to 5.6GB with only Plex running. Windows is setup by default to manage the swap file itself but creates one too small and grows it as needed. I created an 8GB user managed fixed swap file and Plex worked just like new on reboot.
I was using most current PLEX server under Truenas Scale, but server was not the problem, client software issue
