I am trying to download files that were recorded using plex dvr from my windows plex server to my windows player on a laptop, all on the same local network/router (no vpn). I can download a single file but then when I select another file to download, when the second file finishes, it then starts to download the first file again and when more files are added into the mix, it ends up in a crazy loop where downloading is never done.
Searching with google and poking around the server settings haven’t turned up any solutions. Does anyone have suggestions on how to prevent this from occuring?
A little more information. This issue only happens with tv shows recorded with the dvr function - movies that are recorded don’t have the same issue. Plex only downloads two files at a time. When the first is done, it moves on to the third. The issue is that when a new file starts downloading, it cues up all the completed tv shows for download, essentially deleting the file and putting it in the list to be downloaded.
1 and 2 finish, 3 and 4 start. When 3 finishes and 5 starts, 1 and 2 are marked for download and can no longer be viewed. When 4 finishes and 6 starts, 3 is marked for download, etc.
Update for anyone who finds this while searching because I was unable to find anything else. I just updated to version 1.24.0.4930 on windows and it resolved the issue that was present through several previous versions.
