WINDOWS - easiest way to move files to another drive without losing any of the metadata?

Server Version#: 1.16.3.1402

I just installed a large HDD into my Plex Server, and want to move a library or two there. But, I can’t fathom redoing all the metadata stuff (folder pics, special features custom titles and orders, etc).

Is there a simple way to move stuff to another drive without losing any settings for the media in Plex?

THANKS!

The safest way would be to:

  1. copy all the contents from the old drive to the new drive. Keep all the folder names and file names the same.
  2. shut down Plex
  3. change the drive letter of the old drive to something else
  4. change the drive letter of the new drive to the drive letter which the old drive had before
  5. start Plex. Plex won’t know something happened.
