Multiple problems:
In another post (General settings - sorry I put it in the wrong category) I have a problem where passthrough seems to change the sample rate… however, it could be related to the discovery that audio settings are not being saved.

I have changed from using an optical Toslink SPDIF connection to HDMI. I want Plex to use the HDMI connection where my windows machine sees my Pioneer AVR.

So in the Plex Player I sent the Audio Device to that AVR, set the Audio Device Kind to HDMI and have each of the formats selected as “Passthrough”. Scroll to the bottom and hit Save Changes. It confirms the setting as being saved.

After playing various sources I note that it is not even doing surround properly but has reverted to playing surround formats to “Stereo”. I go back to the settings windows and it is set to “Auto” rather than to my AVR?

What gives?

BTW: My tests regarding the Fs issues, I have switched to Exclusive Audio and the problem persists.

There are problems with the Player. Today - after multiple Plex restarts - My player Audio Device settings, will not allow me to change “auto select device” in order to select my HDMI output/AVR input.

When I click on the drop-down, the menu flashes down, and back up again and stays at Auto Select Device."

Seems like some bug…
