Wired client on LG TV and plex server via PC on wifi and vise versa

Server Version#: 1.13.5.5332
Player Version#: LG WebOs 2.1.0

My Plex server runs on my windows 10 laptop. The plex client is on my LG 4k TV. When both devices are on wifi, everything works fine. However, when one device is connected to the router via ethernet cable (either my laptop or my TV) while the other is on wifi, the server can no longer be reached. Is their a solution to this or a setting I’m missing?
I’ve tried restarting the app and the devices when I change connection types but the server still can’t be seen.

Thanks,

Apologies. The server and player versions are outdated. I’ve updated both now but the server still can’t be reached. Regardless if my TV is wired and my laptop on wifi or my TV is on wifi and my laptop is wired.

Is your WiFi a guest network?

I’ll have to check. I haven’t opened my router settings since I bought it and had it installed. Is that a common issue?

No. A typical WiFi network runs on the same network as the wired one. You’d have to manually setup the guest network. Some routers might do this by default and you could be connected to that instead of the regular WiFi network.

I’ll be sure to check my router settings. Would there be any other possible thing causing the issue?
