Not sure whats up but the server works fine form the computer its running on and if my cellphone is on cellular it connects and plays fine to. from my laptop on any wifi conneciont I can’t get it to play. it tells me the files don’t exist. hows that possible?
Do you have multiple servers and it is loading up the wrong one? https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/pms Is the content on an external USB or networked device that might be asleep or disconnected? Some really strict firewall on computer blocking things?
no
content is on an external but plays from all other devices fine so its woke.
no firewalls.
Does your firewall support hairpin NAT? If so, you may need to turn it on. I ran into this same situation with my Ubiquiti firewall.
What type of router do you have?
Did you manually create the port forward, or create through UPnP. I’m pretty sure this is a NAT loopback (hairpin) issue. Is this a new install or did this start after it was working for some time?
this server has been runing for 4 years and jsut started this after the latest server update.
Since you said version 1.29 that would be Plex for Mac. Can you grab the logs for it. Windows/Mac app logs | Plex Support ( feel free to message them to me if you want.)
the server logs would be helpful too.
Similar for me. It used to work and then stopped recently. Worked for me if I use the local IP of the box http://:32400/web. Going through plex.tv would bomb locally. Hairpin was the fix, and your modem appears to support it. It may be worth a shot.
