WORKAROUND: Plex on ios keep crashing with the new update

I can only assume those that made changes are changing it elsewhere.

I read the ‘solution’ again and can’t quite figure out where that person is making changes.

I just checked my local iPhones and iPads and two remote users and all working fine.

Doesn’t help you but clearly there is something in my PMS settings that is helping me and my users avoid the issue.

What specifically do you need to see – I’ve tried every combination including leaving every checkbox for all my libraries unchecked?

Show me screenshot of the page for all your libraries. For home/shared/recommended

For each of your librarys

There is nothing to see, nothing is checked..

Show me tv and music

There is no need, nothing is checked.

Have you tried, reset customization?

Anyway throwing my experience into the discussion. I have not experienced this issue on my iPad pro 11" 2021 model.

Then. Follow what we are doing. For all we know checking nothing also crash it for some reason?

For all 3 libraries check “recently added” for library rec and home

The new update is weird. For my iphone i can now check all fields and no crashes. But some users report they still need to only check recently add or it crashes

Have all these iOS devices and server had a hard Restart?

Yes, tried reset, tried unchecking them all, tried checking just the things listed as a “workaround”.

Regardless, checking/unchecking boxes that affect all of my devices is not the answer.

On my iPhone I was experiencing this problem as well… the app would freeze almost immediately whenever it was opened. Messing around with the library customizations didn’t seem to have any effect.

I just now deleted the app from my phone and re-installed it from the app store. It seems to be working fine again… at least for now.

Is your server updated to the latest public pms?

Regardless, altering the customization that affects all devices is not really a fix…

Before a total rebuild try repairing your Database.

Not a server rebuild, just the app!

OK, not sure why I didn’t just try this earlier, but uninstalled/reinstalled the iOS app – it is working again (so far).
