1 Week with no resolution. I’ve worked with MS on development bugs on other platforms (Windows, Silverlight) and have had the best support of any tech company I’ve ever dealt with.
Same issue…
Two user, used my wife’s account to sign in and it worked. But I cannot switch it back and use my own account, when i switch it back it still stuck there.

@Dom C any update on a solution? I’m one of the many having this problem. Everything was working fine until the latest release. If a solution is pending, I’d rather wait for that than jump through all sorts of hoops messing with profiles and such (but if no solution is imminent, I’ll have to give it a shot).
@TheRealDeria We’re still working hard with MS to get an update that resolves the issue as soon as we possibly can. When we have something to report we’ll let you know. Again we apologize for the frustration this bug has caused to certain users.
Same story, single user, Kinect auto sign in.
It looks like we’ll have a 1.4 today without a fix for this issue (it contains some companion and channel fixes that we submitted before the last release. It’s a pipeline, so this was going to plop out regardless). Please don’t take this release as an indication that we’re ignoring this issue!
We are working with MS to get 1.5 out (with a rollback of the storage logic that is causing this issue, although we still don’t know a) why and b) how many people it affects). The hope is to get this out as soon as we can, but it still needs to pass the (expedited, in light of the severity) MS processes.
I’m have the same issue with my login on the xb1 works fine on every other device.

Checking back in. The workaround worked for me just fine for the past week until today, when the workaround stopped working completely. I am unable to access the app regardless of what I try now. Help!!!

The issue is happening to me too. I’ve created a spereate account on the X1 and I can use plex there but I can’t under the auto sign in of my main account. Adding users etc to the Xbox is adding complicated steps for them to get their heads around. Not an ideal situation.
I’m sure it goes without saying that this needs fixing ASAP before the festive season. If my family can not watch their films over Xmas, they wont be happy with me
Out of interest, since the Plex Pass is now useless for lots of people, are you offering subscription credit or refunds?
Same problem
One issue a few days ago where the app could not find the server (marked offline) but a hard reboot fixed it.
Yesterday I was watching a series, it stopped playing after 8 min and a bit. I rebooted and since then, same thing… Stuck.
I do not have another account but I tried all sorts of reboot and reinstall, changed location and language just in case but no luck.
Thanks for the update @“Dom C”
Same issue here and have tried all the suggestions without any success.

Running Plex 0.9.14.4 and on the Xbox preview program running the latest OS. Plex runs on my ReadyNAS 314 and works on all other devices.
Looks like you guys are doing your best to resolve but would appreciate a quick resolution to this.
Just updated Plex XBOX One client again… confirming that this does not remedy the spinning wheel on startup situation.
I tried the workarounds above (create guest account, uninstall / reboot / reinstall) but none of these has worked.
Wife got so angry with the situation that she’s about to return home with an Apple TV.
Is that a bad thing? You’ll then have two very good devices available to use.
Removing the app from XB1 and reinstalling did the trick for me.

Having issues as well. Have been for a week now. Xbox support was useless, and finally decided to post in the forums. BTW why doesn’t an error message or something show up on the load screen @“Dom C” ? Perhaps just saying there is an issue and to go the the forums here for support.Tried these steps and it didn’t work for me.
Create new outlook.com account
Remove all the devices from the plex web portal
Uninstall Plex from Xbox One
Hard reboot Xbox One
Sign out default user
Sign in as new outlook.com account
Launch plex/pairCOULDN’T DO THIS STEP***
Sign out of new user and sign back into default user
Launch plex/pairCOULDN’T DO THIS STEP***Info:
1 User
Instant sign in - yes
Kinect - yes
Power mode - instant onWere you able to sign out as the default user? That step was tricky because Kinect kept trying to sign me in. Maybe even try disconnecting Kinect before this step.
Good luck
@xryancx yeah i unplugged the kinect during this work around attempt. then plugged back in and tried with both accounts doing only manual sign in. still no luck. thanks though for the response.
Yeah even after the update I still had to use my 2nd account to use Plex. When I swapped back my main account had the link account screen but when I tried it the app didnt do anything.
I tried everything else with no luck. But then signed out of all accounts, launched plex and waited for the Microsoft Account Required screen…went back to the dashboard and logged back into my profile. Then when launching plex it worked.
I’d had a second account I created that had been working. Since the 1.4 update that one stalls on load too… Waiting desperately for the 1.5. I’m not holding a burning torch but I wouldn’t give a refund back either.
