i have a re-occuring problem where certain titles in my library get sorted BEFORE the number titles in my collection. if i change the names of these, they get correctly sorted. if i change the names back, then the wrong sorting re-occurs as if the server had a “memorized location” for these titles. i have repaired the database according to the “Repair a Corrupt Database” support instructions, and i have optimized it from within plex. no dice. please help me!
Can you post some of these names?
i have found the solution: these items had empty “sorting titles”, so they were sorted in front of everything else. as soon as i populated the sorting title field, the sorting went back to normal.
