Wrong external subtitles available for movies when using editions

I was excited to see the new edition support added for Plex! As I was setting it up I noticed that external subtitles appear to be available for every edition on a movie. This is a problem for these movies since the subtitles won’t match up, especially on movies like The Fellowship of the Ring. I have attached a couple of screenshots that hopefully highlight the issue. The biggest problem is going to be for movie which need forced subtitles. Any suggestions on how to fix this or can we get an issue created to correct this bug? Thanks!

Did you try:

  • Analyze (on both editions)
  • Refresh Metadata (on both editions)

?

I had not. I just did that. The extended edition has the proper number of external subs available (two), but the standard theatrical movie (i.e. no edition) still shows three external subs available. Any other suggestions?

Have you tried to update to PMS 1.28.2 ?

I just switched to the beta channel and updated to 1.28.2.6106. I then did the analyze and refresh on both items again. I still see three external subs available on the standard movie.

A workaround is of course to give every edition its own folder.
