what is going on after the last update ?
Gringo 2018 was labelled as Get the Gringo 2012
Death Wish 2018 labelled as Death Wish 1974
Fahrenheit 2018 labelled as Fahrenheit 1966
and they are properly named example Death Wish (2018)\Death Wish (2018)
You can fix match by going to the movie page, clicking the more button (the 2 dots on the top right), and clicking “Fix Match”., then click the correct movie. You might have to adjust the search options a bit (like adding a space or removing and re-adding a letter). You can also click the edit button (the pencil) and edit info manually if that still doesn’t work. Just make sure to click the lock icon so it doesn’t change again.
Are you also sure that you have the correct metadata agent? It should be TMDb as that is the most accurate one. You could also try changing it to TVDb if that doesn’t work.

i know i can fix, is not about that …is about that even the media was named properly, did pulled wrong metadata, from what i see in this case is that the Plex Movie agent is not working properly, there is no TVDB for movies
My first bet would be that the files are mp4’s with embedded metadata. This is likely in the file with no date and would very likely cause what you are seeing above. If you don’t want to worry about that, you can move the Local Media Assets to the bottom in Settings -> Server -> Agents for the Agent you are using.

i did had a look and files are .avi and .mkv and like i sayed already was renamed when reached the server and Local Media Assets is disabled on both Plex Movie and The Movie Database, Example: Death Wish (2018)\Death Wish (2018).avi
Your ‘exact title and year’ is not what the IMDb is using. You’d probably get an exact match if your file was correctly named:
/array/media…8/Gringo (2018).mkv, “Gringo (2018)” is the title IMDB uses. If you want all the other text place them in square brackets so PLEX knows to ignore it
You didn’t rename the file correctly if the screen shot is accurate.
Your filename is “Gringo (2018).WebDL-1080p.x264.AC3-5.1.mkv”
Also - not judging - but maybe you want to change the filenames so you aren’t advertising that you’re asking for help with a torrent that you downloaded rather than a movie you own the rights to.
mine was renamed Gringo (2018)\Gringo (2018).avi and still pulled the metadata from Get The Gringo 2012, and i do believe what @skubiszm that might me a bug in the matching algorithm
Thank you for actually reading the comments, and not just being a jerk like ckronengold. This has nothing to do with the filename, its a problem with the agent.
Maybe you could be helpful and test it yourself, instead of being high and mighty. Also, ripping DVDs and BluRays is a violation of DMCA, so technically all movies in Plex are illegal. Just stop being stupid and keep your comments to yourself.
