Using WebTools-NG, I scanned my TV series to see if any of my TV series were linked to wrong TVDB IDs. After completing the scan, comparing Proper IDs to what Plex was linked to, I attempted to manually “Fix Match”, completed a 2nd WebTools-NG scan and the following shows are still linking to wrong TVDB IDs:
Comedy Central Stand-up Presents (2012)
Proper ID: 2590783
TVDB ID Plex links to: 258985
The Gorburger Show (2017)
Proper ID: 326701
TVDB ID Plex links to: 276567
The Last 24 (2018)
Proper ID: 347508
TVDB ID Plex links to: 337564
Sex Life (2019)
Proper ID: 368270
TVDB ID Plex links to: 367007
Pooch Perfect (US) (2021)
Proper ID: 397529
TVDB ID Plex links to: 377619
All media in my database is named to follow Plex naming conventions.
D:\Media\TV is the directory where TV Series are stored.
TV Series are configured (TV Series Name) (TV Series Year) {tvdb-#}
Example: Game of Thrones (2011) {tvdb-121361}
All TV Series episodes are broken down into Season 01, Season 02, etc. folders.
TV episodes follow the following naming convention:
(TV Series Name) (TV Series Year) - S##E## - (Quality).(File type)
Example: Game of Thrones (2011) - S01E01 - Bluray-2160p.mkv
Thanks for all the feedback, I’ve gone through these and commented below:
Looks like TVDB has duplicate entries for the same show here with different names, we’re linking to both of them as both link to the same IMDB id (The Half Hour (TV Series 2012– ) - IMDb)
However TMDB only lists “Homicide hours to kill” but has its alternate name as “The last 24” so I suspect these shows are somehow related.
I have to ask about this one, we’re linking to both 368270 and 367007, the latter of which doesn’t seem to exist anymore it might have been a duplicate that was deleted on TVDB’s side and hasn’t yet updated on our end.
The Aussie version of the show had the wrong IMDB linkage on TMDB, I have corrected on this so it should also correct itself on our end in the next day or two.
