This is more of an annoyance than anything, so I was checking to see if there were any suggestions. The show is “Life in Pieces” and it auto downloads and then pulls the metadata from an old show “A Life in Pieces” from 1990, so every new episode I have to use fix incorrect match; both options come up as 95% relevant.
Is there any way to make it so the old show is not an option, or does anyone have a good suggestion on how to avoid this issue.
An obvious thought was changing the file name to include the year, but I’m looking for some way to automate this, because they auto-download, save to folder, and are indexed by plex, so manually changing the file name isn’t much better than using fix incorrect match.
I’m having similar issue . I have a show dc’s legends of tomorrow . But as my show is auto Downloaded it’s names Dcs legends of tomorrow . The lack of apostrophe in the file name causes it not to be found on tvdb. i could put a request into tvdb to put an alias for the show but it might be rejected . Anyway to make the agent learn
I have not found a way to resolve my issue. I just tried merging the two instead of fixing, and I’ll see if that works. @ZeroQI How would I set it to use tvdb:295778 specifically. I know that is the ID of the show, but it’s using TVDB and every new episode just defaults to 93861 for every new episode. When I fix it, it merges automatically with the correct one, but it continues every week to have a new episode set to 93861
With some sample files I created a test folder with the following names:
/media/TV Shows/test/Life in Pieces (2015)/Season 01/ Life in Pieces (2015).S01E01.mkv
/media/TV Shows/test/Life in Pieces (2015)/Season 01/ Life in Pieces (2015).S01E02.mkv
With the test library pointed at the test folder it auto matched first try:
