How do you have the files named and organized?
I was able to have the show mostly correct using the structure shown below.
I did have to tweak things a bit:
- Plex did not initially recognize the show. Fix Match worked. As did adding the TMDB ID to the folder name (I didn’t test it, but adding the TVDB ID should also work).
- Plex uses TMDB & TVDB for TV shows. They both use the year for the season number. Name your folders & files accordingly.
- TMDB & TVDB list different number of episodes for some seasons. You’ll have to choose which ordering you want (Edit the show → Advanced → Episode Ordering).
- Plex did not pull down cover art for all episodes (See screenshots below. I’m using test files in lieu of actual show files)..
Edit: Plex Dance the show if you rename/reorganize the files. It removes previous matching information from the Plex database.
