This just recently started happening to me.
This has started happening to me, but I only have 1 Xbox account and I never sign in anywhere else. Havenāt had any issues until recently maybe last Month.
Just adding a vote. We use plex on one Xbox One X, only one account, but also on roku, Chromecast, Android, Chrome. Never had a problem until the last few weeks. Now itās nearly a daily issue.
This has been happening for me about 2-3 times a week. Just started about 3 weeks ago. Has anyone started looking into what might be causing this? Very annoying.

Happening to me too for the last month. Itās making the wife very unhappy. Why isnāt anybody from Plex on the forum responding to this issue?

Itās so fun having to set up your settings every time you turn on your Xbox.

Hi. Iām joining the chorus of Plex users being prompted for link code every week eventhough the two Xbox users are linked to their own Plex account AND having set the Plex Xbox to sign in automatically.
When it prompts for the link code it acts as if Iām setting the Xbox app up for the very first time and show all media types in the left pane. This has started to happen so often now I donāt even bother to adjust the Plex Xbox settings as I know they will be ditched in just a few days or next week.
This is a royal pain in ā¦ so please look into it.

Hiya. Sorry for all the pain caused by this issue, I am investigating this. Just wanted to get more information, do you only see this on app updates? Updates are usually every two weeks, or is this happening intermittently outside of app updates? Do you have a single Live account on the Xbox One? Do any of you have just the single Plex account signed into the app, not a Plex Home with multiple users?
Hi. My setup is a Windows server running Plex with two Plex accounts.
On the Xbox I have two Live accounts linked to each of the Plex accounts, setup as auto login upon starting the Plex app.
I dont know if its due to updates (either server-side or Xbox-side) but it could be.
But all settings are reset on the Xbox app when it occurs.

Has been happening to me as well for several months. This does not seem to map to either an Xbox One system update or a Plex update. Every 2-3 days will prompt for pin; often enough that Chrome on my phone now auto-suggests the plex.tv/link address by default when I launch it.
Read through a lot of the older responses on this thread - I do have multiple users on my Xbox but the āprimaryā account auto-logs in and is almost always the one used to access the Plex app. Only one Plex account is signed in to the app, though there are multiple users set up within Plex once signed in.
Itās happening to me as well. It is occurring on both my launch day Xbox One (non-Insider build), and my Xbox One S (Insider build). Both Xboxes are single Xbox Live user account systems, and neither are ever turned off or restarted unless there is a system update. My Plex Server is on a QNAP NAS, and has been in place for 4 years.
In the past, it would happen every few weeks, but now Iām having to re-link it every single time I launch the app. Iāve had to re-link my Xbox One S three times this morning, in an eight hour span.
Same issue here. Happening almost every time in open Plex on my Xbox One.

Could you send me a PM with your IP address at times the app was started and it reset? Iām trying to see if there are any errors in our reports that may be related.
