First off, I think your Xbox client is too unstable to charge money for. I’ve used for 4 months and don’t know how many times I have unistalled/unstalled the app. I’ve also had to reinstall the server a few times. Errors often occur when changing subtitles, e.g disabling subs from the app interface. They also occur passively, e.g. when I open the app it just freezes seemingly trying to connect to server. I of course check status of host machine and no problems there.
This time however, it has really gone bad. The app just display the plex logo and a loading symbol that goes on and on. Restarting xbox or reinstalling does nothing. Everything works fine from server side.
I tried finding the logs but the folder does not exist as stated in your guidelines (see attachement).
You’re paying for a Plex Pass that includes early access to an unreleased app still in development. While the developers do try and keep the app as stable as possible, things can always go bad especially with a client that is unfinished. So if you thought you were paying for a fully completed and stable app, it might be time to rethink waiting until the app is completed and released.
For your other issues, it would be helpful to see the server logs during some of these crashes as it seems like you are having a lot of issues that have not been reported before.
I was able to resolve my problem, but see in forum that many are not so lucky. However you spin it, I think it’s strange to charge for an unfinished product and call it “early access”. i work with software development and our pilot customers not only get a free license in the beta phase they get all other kinds of additional perks as well.
