Xbox One App Navigaton Issue

Hello,

When I am browsing my Tv shows and select a show. I am no longer able to select a season or a episode. Instead it shows a half cut off blurry version of the poster picture as well as 3 small boxes in the bottom left corner. (Kind of resemble a broken image icon) All i can select is the play button (which always plays Season 1 Episode 1) the watched/unwatched button and go home button.

This has been going on the past 3-4 days. It worked perfectly prior. I have made no changes other than perhaps updated the Plex Media Server. It also works perfectly fine on my ps3 and my xbox 360.

I have made sure the server is update. I have uninstalled and re-installed the xbox 1 app. Restarted the server,

I am out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

Huh, that sounds very odd indeed. Could you possibly post a screenshot of the issue?

Is your TV show library actually a TV show type? Does it show up fine on Plex Web? How are you reaching this page exactly? From the home page hub/library browse page?

To reach the page i launch the xbox 1 plex app. I select TV Shows on the left hand side. I then select browse. And pick any TV show.

Other information you might find useful. I understand you guys released an update for the Xbox 1 app. I never was prompted for the update. I re-installed the app yesterday. So i am assuming it is the newest version. Its states version 1.1.7.0

Yes, 1.1.7.0 is the current (recently updated) one.

@Riven11 I believe this issue is happening for you because your TV show library has no set agent. In Plex Web if you view your library details and go to the ‘Advanced’ tab what is your agent set to?

@moussa.uk Agent is set to Personal Media Shows. Also this would not explain why its works fine on my ps3.

Is there a reason you’re using the Personal Media Shows agent on a TV show library? We’re looking into the app behaviour around this setup regardless!

I can also no longer browse TV seasons starting from selecting the big browse button on the left in TV. Like the previous posting all I get is three little squares on the bottom left where seasons should show. I can get to the seasons, however, if I click TV on the left and under something like the ‘Just Added’ section select the three tiny ‘more’ squares under that section. So Plex does recognize the seasons, and they are in the web app still of course.

My Agent is ‘Personal Media Shows’ as I am not using the Plex naming convention and subsequent database lookups to find the metadata. I used the same databases but with MetaZ to embed all metadata into the file itself. That way it all raw media is totally platform independent and it then happens to work with iTunes managing the files (I have other Mac stuff that also needs to use iTunes still). I assume if I use any other agent It will need that naming convention. It has worked marvelously (thank you Plex). This XBox One SNAFU is the first hick-up really. All their clients and Smart TVs are fine.

No specific reason other than preference.

@Riven11 I believe we have fixed this for a future update, but to make sure could you possibly share your problematic library with me for a little while to test?

I dont have a problem with that, buts its not set up for remote access. I only use it at home.

I don’t have it set up for external (was going to wait until all apps were ssl compatible) but am willing to give it a go. How would you like to proceed?

Also noticed that some voice/video sync problems last night but only on the Xbox One. Other Apps and SMART TVs were fine on the same clip. Anyone else?
