Server Version#: 4.145.1
Player Version#: 2.147.0.70
When playing certain media from the XBox, the player crashes. The only errors reported on the server are:
[Req#84f2] Unable to find client profile for device; platform=Xbox, platformVersion=10.0.26100.3363, device=Xbox, model=Xbox Series X
The particular file that consistently fails is 480p HEVC Rext encoded. Most of the other files in the library are H.264 encoded and seem to have no issues. Is there a way to get debug logs on the player? Anybody else have issues with playing back H.265 encoded files?
I saw this issue last night with an XBox client having problems with HEVC transcoding enabled. Disabling that option and using H.264 transcoding resolved the problem.
The problematic content was h265 and was attempting to transcode directly to h265 SDR or similar (source is 4k).
I was told that during playback the player crashed and showed a single frame of the content.
Looks like transcoding does seem to be the problem.
I had Plex generate an optimized version and manually selected that version to play through the client and was able to play the content without any issues.
