XMBC running PlexApp - Watching TV Shows via Plex

Hello,

 

When I start XMBC on my Pi and go to Movies, and work my way thought the add in stuff to get to the Plex Server, and then finally choose my Movies library for example, I get all the movies I have - which is good. If I then go back and select TV shows on the Plex Server, it comes up with the same Movies, rather than the TV Shows, which is a completely different Library.

 

I cant seem to find out how to go all the way back to the main initial menu, which allowed me to select the add in Plex etc. (sorry specifics are hard as its not right in front of me).

 

Basically when I first select I want to use the Plex Add in on XMBC, I cant seem to get back to choose anything else, for example content on a Windows shared drive etc (not that I have that, but just an example).

 

So while selected on the Plex Add In, my Movies and TV show libraries for some reason are one in the same, even though they are in reality not.

 

If I restart the Pi, all is well, I can select the Add in I want to use, select Plex, and select TV Shows, and then my TV shows display correctly. If I then try and play movies, the same deal, the TV shows show up...

 

I am just a little confused what is going on.

I am using the Ace Theme if it makes any difference, but I wouldn't imagine it would.

I’m not sure if there is more than one Plex Addon for XBMC, but the one I know about is properly named “PleXBMC”, and nothing else.

For that addon it does make a HUGE difference which skin/theme you are using, and to my knowledge only one skin exists that gives you the full benefits of that add-on, and this is a PlexBMC-specific variation of the ‘Quartz’ skin. It allows you to switch between normal XBMC mode and a special Plex mode, where XBMC acts almost like a real Plex client, so that clicking on the main menu entries of “TV Shows” or “Movies” brings up the correct Plex sections without having to explicitly start the PlexBMC addon each time.
