In the app DASH and HLS - both are transcoding options. Because only the Plex Server can create a stream and it decides in which mode to start the stream. So it depends on many factors (movie container, codecs and so on).
Also I will check HLS mode. Looks like it doesn’t work sometimes. I need more tests.
I check it and if it possible I will add such an option. Originally it was made for testing purpose only.
I guess it strongly depends on what file is used (.avi, .mkv or what else)… And Android OS doesn’t know what app
