I did buy XPlay on my phone from the Play Store yesterday and sideloaded it to my Amazon Firetv’s (one in the bedroom, one in the living room), yesterday it did play fine in the bedroom, though stopped working today due to a license check.
Once XPlay is released in the Amazon Store, will there be a way to “move” the licesence over? Or did i just waste money?
First of all I want to say thank you for letting me know that the app works with fire devices. I tried to publish the app through the Amazon App Store and the Amazon’s quality team said that they couldn’t start it… Now I’m waiting a Fire TV stick for test and will try to publish it again.
No. Every store has his own billing system.
I’m sad that you think that you “waste” your money. At least you supported the development and I appreciate it very much.
Anyway if you think so - just email your google play order number to android@itkey.ru and we will think of how to return your money.
Indeed it does work! And is way nicer then the official application. If the license problem wouldn’t prevent further playing, it would become my new favorite player. I would even give up my beloved Plex for Smarthub player for this!
Waste as in: I have no android tv device and no tablet. The only devices I own that are connected to the Google Store are phones. What looks realy amazing and tidy on the Amazon Firetv is pretty much unusable on my phone. The posters are not realy distinguishable, as each post is like 1cm wide. Also when selecting a poster, the poster itself gets huge (of course cut of by the tiny screen) and no further navigation is possible. This makes sense as this app is not designed for phones. I am wondering why the Play Store even allowed to purchase it on a non android tv device.
Don’t get me wrong. Your application is awesome and I will definitly support you, but isn’t it better if it is a win win for both of us, if i actualy own a device i can use it with? Once it is on on the Amazon Appstore I will do an instant order
Hello, after using Xplay for my Plex servers in Webos Lg, I discovered the Android application and I love it, it is very good and smooth.
I had a Zidoo X9S with kodi and Plex addon and it was not quite fine, I had problems with the hertz. Buy the app and although the Zidoo did not work on my Oled 803 Philips goes great with Nougat android, waiting for Philips to update to Oreo.
Hi @DironDir,
I’m coming back to you about the problem of playing videos encoded with the XVID codec.
I have done extensive testing, transcoding works well. On the other hand, my NAS CPU runs at 100% during transcoding for 1 user. I do not even want to try with 2 users.
My question is :
With KODI, XVID video files passes without problems.
With Xplay LG App, XVID video files passes without problems.
Can not you use the codec of the device (Xiaomi Mi Box 3) to read this type of file?
You know but it looks like I’ve found the reason And all is much simpler than I thought
I need to test more files and I will publish a new release if everything is ok
Can you make a row thing for the home ui of the shield like the Plex app that shows next up or recent added so you don’t need to got into the app to see those?
