It could take about a month to get one.
All I need are 50$ to buy a Fire TV Stick 4K from Amazon and time to make it work.

Iā€™m having a problem with the latest version.
When I want to play a file in MPEG-4 Visual format (AVI file converted into MKV), I have the sound but with a black screen: no picture.
I tested on multiple files, same problem.
Can you make a small correction in the next version?

How do we change the controls. The Nvidia shield controller just doesnā€™t feel right with the current button mappings. B isnā€™t back and A isnā€™t okay itā€™s Y.

What I can say about this question now.
To play such a file I need to use xvid decoder. Technically as I see now it is possible but I canā€™t add this ability to the app because this decoder is under GPL licence.
The license contains some requirements that I can not fulfill because my app is not a ā€œfree softwareā€.
So Iā€™ve added a patch in the last version and such videos will be played in transcode mode automatically.

Thanks for your return.
I tested with version 1.0.33 and the files are read without problem.
I hope that later you will find a solution so that this type of file is read directly because Iā€™m not a big fan of transcoding and my NAS is not very powerful (Synology DS415play).

If you convert your movies from .avi to .mkv maybe is it possible to convert content also with the codec h264, as an example?
Itā€™s not the best solution right now but you will be able to play your files directly

I thought about it but I have a lot of files like that ā€¦ I do not want to spend weeks re-encoding everything ā€¦
In addition, as it is files in SD quality, I will lose a little in quality ā€¦
Iā€™m going to leave like this for now and see what that gives.
