Is there any message or just stop playing? Do you have enough memory on the device?
No message, just stop playing. And yea i guess, got a Nvidia Shield TV 2017 with 3 Gig Ram and 16Gig Rom.
if you see the “(T)” sign it means that the movie can be played only in transcode mode. I guess HDR could depend on in what mode the video is playing.
Yes you are right, can you do anything about it? Thor Ragnarok with DTS works fine with HDR, if i switch do Dolby Digital+, no HDR.
Transformers Last Knight, TrueHD Audio got a “t” too and no HDR cause he must transcode it.
Is there a way you can change something about it?
And yea, still no HD Sound passthrough but i guess you already work on it anyway
could you give me more details about it?
Mhhm in which way? What Details do you need? If i play HD Sound i will get Multi PCM instead of the “Real” Audio like TrueHD, DTS-HD, DTS:X etc.

Could you give me a link on the movie? I need to see the content and than I will be able to say something about what is possible.
Send the link to me through PM.
if you see sign (T) or have some issues with direct play in the app you can try to play a movie in an external video player (as example, MX Player or something like this).
External players can support more video formats and codecs …
So try this function and let me know what you think about it…
And, of course, you need update the app… You can do it through Setting->About
I tried external players with it but i only get stutter and stops with Movies. Even low GB File Movies. I Tried VLC, Plex and MX Player. Plex doesnt even start. VLC and MX Player, yea just how i said, stutters and stops.
@NCLI just this Movie with DTS, or all Movies with DTS? I tried a couple of movies with DTS and had no Problem. Just HD and 3D Sound passthrough doesnt work right now.

I guess the reason is the same. Movies are huge and since it works over http the network bandwidth seems to be insufficient and therefore stops are because of buffering
I tried to play movies with size about 2-4 GB - it works on my Android Box (simple Nexbox A95X wit 2Gb RAM and 16Gb ROM)
I guess for huge movies only streaming is a way (like Plex server does) because it splits the movie into small pieces. But there is no guarantee that it will play without transcoding

It seems to be having trouble with DTS. Has anyone else encountered this? I get no sound on my rip of the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes BD.
Also, some videos don’t let me use an external player for some reason.
I have some content with DTS-DH to check the issue with DTS.
Can you give me a link do download exactly your rip so I can check?
Just a quick note to say the layout all looks MUCH better with tv posters instead of cropped landscapes. Recently added shows skipping back and forward through seasons all works fine. Crashing seems to have stopped. Playback of SD and hd m4v both perfect.
Only minor thing I’d noticed, but only once, was the app hanging on launch. Turned tv on and off, all fine. VERY pleased with it, thanks for your work!

Hmm thats sad. Is there nothing you can do about it?
I tried “Transcode” and no “Directplay”
Audio Files who need transcode seems to work fine, without stutter or stops (but no HDR) if i choose audio with no “T” i get HDR but it stops…
Kodi (Plex for Kodi) uses directplay too and no problem.
And one Thing would be good, can you add an option that i dont exit the app with the “Back” button? Leaved the app too often cause of that

I just need more content and time for checking. There are too many variants what could be wrong so there is only one way… get content that is playing bad and try to play it. This is exactly what I’m doing now
