But the Navigation (for Example in the Movie Section) is still a bit jerky, takes forever to get to the “End” Movies, cause i cant use all the Alphabet Buttons :D.
Please check this moment. I hope now the Alphabet Buttons should work

Thanks for the quick update. Was able to Link account this time.
I like the general look very much, but was confused about moving backwards - “exit” and “back” on remote dont really work, and you have to go up and select previous level to move back - not very natural for me, at least.
Main issue though - Playback simply fails on a lot of files. 4K HDR (which for me is the main reason to try a different player) Didn’t work - either didn’t play at all or transcoded to 1080…
Still, very good work, and I will continue to update and test.
The updated version from today start for me on the Shield.
But it displays the red “(T)” which means content must be transcoded for all audio streams on all of my files.
I selected “direct play” in the options.
The Plex media server on my (old) Synology NAS has not enough power to transcode. Normally no problem as my files can be played without transcoding on the devices I use normally.
The XPlay App on my LG does not show that the files must be transcoded because of the audio stream (only if I select an PGS subtitle for example).
Origin Plex App plays the files without transcoding (transcoding would lead to extreme stuttering because of my plex server)

Hey, i already mentioned that to him… Hopefully he can fix that
Should play more files without transcoding. The experimental version
But you need understand that direct playing huge files needs appropriate hardware and network bandwith. Otherwise, there will be stops due to buffering

I still hope you can fix it with Directplay. Unfortunately i really dont know where the problem is there :D. Cause xplay for WebOS works great and Plex for Android too :(.
I got stops with directplay and transcode on 4k Movies. On transcode HDR and HD Sound isnt working.
Forward and backwards with left/right buttons works, but it takes 6-7 Seconds till the movie plays again then.
Playback works much better now. Thanks!
The “Filtering” Action in the more actions menü seems not to work. If i select it, nothing happens. No bing deal for me, as I normally don’t use it, but I randomly just found it out.

4K movies are very big. It looks like you have stops (playing and seeking both) because of buffering. Your network or hardware is not fast enough. HDR and HD Sound doesn’t work with transcoding because of transcoding It converts audio in the supported format with losing some data

The Filtering is not just finished yet. Issues with playback is more important now and it takes all my time. But I will add it later anyway

I’m looking for a decision but it needs time.
Sure, just take your time Was just wondering cause how i said, Xplay on WebOS doesnt have this problem, neither any other app Looking forward for the fix
Just tried playing an SD 4:3 file and it is filling the screen instead of having bars left and right. Tried an anamorphic widescreen SD and that is doing the same too, filling the screen without bars top and bottom. Doesn’t look like the app is respecting anamorphic flags in the MP4 file. Doesn’t look stretched, it just looks like it is enlarging the video to fill screen, i.e. 4:3 enlarges to width of the screen, meaning the top and bottom is cut off. Anamorphic is enlarged to height of screen meaning left and right of the file is cut off. Not sure it has been happening before but can’t be sure. Tried on direct play (as normal) and transcode, and also checked in settings re display size which is set to auto, and not full.
Tried same files through Plex plugin through Kodi, and Plex Android app, and the ratio is displayed correctly.

Can you give me any example of content for testing?

No problem, here are 2x clips, minute or so each, Simpsons 4:3, and Blade Runner anamorphic widescreen
I’ve added my settings as a photo so you can see too. The photos below are the same files via Plex plugin for Kodi (app in android on tv also). Plex official are the same. Both are apps directly in android, and not separate devices
