Xplay on LG Oled doesn't play 4K (HEVC Main 10 HDR) video's anymore

Since some updates ago my LG Oled tv with XPLAY doesn’t play 4K 2160 (HEVC Main 10 HDR) with Dolby Atmos video’s anymore!
I have a QNAP NAS and now running Version 1.21.1.3830.

On my TV I get a message such as: this format is not supported/can’t play. Other formats.

Will this problem be fixed in a new version?
Or is there a solution available?

XPLAY is not developed by Plex. You would need to contact the XPLAY developer regarding any updates.

What happens when you use the Plex app?

FYI, with the Plex app (and XPLAY as far as I know):

  • TrueHD will transcode. If available, choose a AC3/Dolby Digital audio track instead.
  • Do not use PGS subtitles. They force a video transcode.
  • Do not use ASS subtitles if Burn Subtitles = Automatic in the Plex app. It will force a video transcode.
  • If the audio is transcoding, do not use text (SRT/VTT) subtitles. It will force a video transcode.
