Is it trying to dial home to some server that’s dead or something? Seems odd that multiple folk would have the same beef with what is meant to be a local server…
Yeah presumably all 8 of us who posted today about this issue haven’t had their plex servers explode in one day.
I’m fairly certain it’s the app, I’m currently watching something on the default plex app so it isn’t that. I’ve tried a few standard resets just in case, rebooted my server, my Internet, hard reboot my TV etc but no dice.
if you reinstall the app it works again (v . v 2.713.102) but if you reboot the tv this version is pushed which has the issue as mentioned today.
i have the same problem with the infinite spinning circle, all work fine until today…
reinstall (re-link) help for 1 time, after reboot tv it’s spinning circle again

Mine is also that version. Like I said mine is working now though. Not sure if dec did anything or it was just an unplanned server crash or something

I have two lg oled tv
c8 2018 model did not update xplay and working great (waiting till bugs r fixed )
55 oled 2016 model updated xplay and find it buffering in movies never buffered before (although I do not show art in settings )
Hope xplay gets fixed cause plex app has its problems with 4k and srt ! On my c8

Anyone has an idea why on lg content store xplay version is shown a very old one while in xplay settings about we have v 2.714.091
The xplay app uses online updates. So the version you see in LG store is just the “base version”, as soon as you start the app it connects to an update server in the background and updates automatically. Which is convenient on one side, but also a source of potential trouble - you simply DON´T have control anymore what the app does and updates in the background, and you can´t control online update settings… so if the DEV pushes a faulty app version you´re screwed.
I have the same version and the app is working again! I’m.glsd because the Emby client for LG is crap.
Anybody else having problem with the Resume function? It doesn’t work… the movies start from the beginning every time now.

I am also having issues with auto resume, it just doesn’t work anymore. Anyone found a solution for this?
There is no solution to this bug unless the developer decides to identify the reason, fix it and push a new version. I went back to the standard Plex client that is not as convenient as xplay, but at least it works.
