Xvid issue

Server Version#: 1.21.3.4046
Player Version#: Android 8.13.0.22986

Hello
I have a playback problem with some xvid video file with a xiaomi mi 9t, the AZUS ZENFONE 5Z and on the poco x3 nfc. I have no problem reading this same file with other Box xiaomi mi 4s, Samsung galaxy tab 2, honor 20 pro and Windows 10 pc devices.
When I run the video, the image is sped up and the sound is at normal speed.
Could you help me solve this problem.

Thank you beforehand
cordially
Eddy

Without knowing about your devices, the ones I use work via Direct Play for both the audio and video streams you mentioned. In my scenario, the QNAP based PMS would not have any affect, and the problem would seem to be on the client.

Would you verify that Direct Play is being used on all the devices in testing?

Hi

Thx for your help, I do not know how to change this setting but the reading is done well in Direct Play.

Edit : Badly functioning devices have Snapdragon processors. Those who work don’t (Exynos, Kirin, Amlogic S905)
Edit 2 : When I activate the mobile data limitation. I switch from direct play to transcode. Transcode works. However, this is only one way to get around the problem without fixing the bug.

No proposed solution?

Run the video through Handbrake or a similar tool. Convert it to H.264 video and AAC 2.0 audio, which is compatible with more devices.

If you use Handbrake, try one of the Android presets. Select Web Optimized and Align A/V Start on the Summary tab. Change the video framerate to 25fps and the audio to AAC 2.0/128kbps (to match your video’s fps & bps).

Yes that’s one way to get around the problem. I had thought about it but on the one hand, it does not solve the problem and on the other hand, I do not have a device allowing to re-encode these videos.
