Year Not Displayed in List View of Tracks for Compilations

In a new Plex Premium Music library, the “Year” displays correctly in “List View” of “Albums”, but does not display in “List View” of “Tracks”, where the album has both an “Album Artist” and an “Artist” set (i.e. compilations). Creating a Custom Filter of “Tracks” while in “List View” still works normally (e.g. the filter “Year is 2006” returns all of the tracks in my compilation album with that year), however, when attempting to sort by “Year” in “List View”, the field is treated as empty (e.g. all compilations are sorted to one end of the list as if there was no “Originally Available” tag set).

Is this a known bug? Is there something I can do to fix this behavior?

In Plex, the ‘release date’ or ‘year’ is a property of an album. Not of an individual song.

I understand, however, if you select “Tracks” and “List View”, you should be able to sort by “Year”, as it is one of the available columns. My library is not displaying a year for albums that have both an “Album Artist” and an “Artist” set, even though the property is properly set in the album and filters can be created based on the information in the same view. Please see the attached screenshots.

The year is only missing, when the ‘Originally Available’ date is not set on an album.

I tested this with an album that had no date set in my library. I added the date, then left and re-entered the library list view. Now the album has a year.
Did you refresh the library view?

I refreshed thew view, but it did not resolve the issue. Also, what you described is what happens when the Album only has an “Album Artist” set. The issue I am experiencing only occurs when there is both an “Album Artist” and and an “Artist”, hence why I thought it might be a bug.
