Zoom or stretch for 21:9 ultrawide monitor

Hello all. I recently got an ultrawide Alienware QD-OLED monitor (3440x1440). It’s freaking sweet but I have been unable to get movies to fill the screen. When watching in the browser versions of Plex, I can zoom with a browser tool to fill the screen. But most of my UHD rips have black bars around all sides in the Plex for Windows app. I would use the browser but for some reason, my browser isn’t registering HDR content properly…I can only get it to fire in the Plex app.

I remember being able to zoom. Am I missing this? I want full screen…these are 4k films!

Server Version#: Latest
Player Version#: Plex for Windows 1.61.1.3432-3929cb60

There is not in the desktop app. You would need to add to the input map file. Info on that ( with specific details you can just copy for zoom options) can be found here. Use `mpv` features which are not exposed in Plex for Windows/Mac/Linux and Plex HTPC

Thanks! Just asking for a friend…if it is that easy, why haven’t these just been baked into the UI by default? Ultrawide is more of a thing now.

Adding to the mpv input map is not the same as adding to the UI (which is shared with the web app).

This worked swimmingly. Thanks! You can close this.

Woo hoo! Full screen!
