Update:
I spent most of last week trying to fix around this PS4 issue, and I have good news, we have a fix that has been tested and seems to be working with whatever I’m throwing at it (stuff that would display incorrectly before).
there are two parts to the fix:
Direct play Videos: This should be fixed in the next PS4 client update, any video that direct plays should be displayed using correct aspect ratio.
Direct stream/Transcode Videos: This requires a server update, it should be released to ninjas soon, and public a bit after that, the timeline for that is really up to the server team,
Just wanted to give you guys an update, the issue is fixed; and it’s only a matter of time before your videos can finally stretch their legs.
