[SOLVED]
I had the same error; I were unable to play a file throgh plex, but I could play it localy. Looking throug the logs it seemed to be because of the transcoding, so I re-analyzed my movie library (Press ‘…’ next to your library in the left menu, press ‘Analyze’) and now every movie plays without an issue.
I hope this helps someone else experiencing the same issue.
