Yep, all broken to hell for me to. Nothing recording. Cannot view anything remotely. Bad thing was I updated right before going on a trip and broken the whole time gone with people not telling me because they did not want to bug me on my trip. I only knew about the remote part not working, but now that I am back I see it is all broken to hell due to this latest update. What’s up with this? I thought Plex was trying to focus on getting paying customers like me, not shooing us away with completely broken ‘stable’ updates.
Same for me - cannot record anything; also can’t watch live programmes using PMS and any new channel scan find 0 channels.

The evidence i have at the moment is that this is affecting usb and PCIe tuners. I have logs to show it works on 1.13.5.5332 but not on 1.13.8.5xxx
The issue is with the development team. I, myself i have a PCIe wintv card and it works fine for me. so it is not straightforward that all PCIe/USB tuners do not work
For users who have the issue fixed by going back to v1.13.7.5369 - i would like to see logs of the failure on 1.13.8 and it working on 1.13.7.5369 with info on make and model of the DVR
I have posted a log (top of this thread) for it failing on 1.13.8.5395, however I’ve gone back to 1.13.5.5332. You mentioned you already have logs that show it working on 1.13.5.5332, so I guess there isn’t much point in me sending those in.
I’m happy to move up to version 1.13.7.5369 and send you some more logs. Do you have a download link for that version?

You are right I don;'t need logs from 1.13.5.5332 as we have proof that it works - to narrow the problem, proof that it fails on 1.13.8 and works on 1.13.7 helps a bit.
But we now need more specific diagnostics from 1.13.8.5395 which I mentioned in another thread. I will put it here as well
The development team are unable to reproduce the error - so we will need volunteer(s) for extra diagnostics of the error when running 1.13.8.5395
What I am after is additional transcoder logging and in addition to logs, wireshark capture of the attempt to stream using Plex (wireshark to be zipped and sent to me by Private Message) and also curl capture of the stream.
I will give the details once I have volunteer(s)

The errors are different - need to concentrate on the initial setup as you say you are not finding any channels. This is different

Go through DVR setup again - delete the DVR in server settings and recreate it and go through zip code / channel selection setup. Make sure the DVR is not in use by other application when doing this

You were right - I got it all working again.
I’m not 100% sure as I haven’t fully tested this but since I switched off my Triax IP 100 SAT>IP receiver, the channel scan worked again. I’m now back at the latest version of macOS (Mojave 10.14) and Plex PMS (1.13.8.5395) and was able to successfully perform channel scans and also record programmes.
I’m not using the Triax receiver but it was left on stand-by; I guess there must be an IR command used for a different device that inadvertently switched on the Triax device and this then cause issues of Plex not being able to tune into any channel.
But should Plex not try other tuners? I have 3 satellite inputs connected (1 input is unused) and Triax would only have taken up one of the 3 tuners.
Anyway, glad it’s all back.
Plex Media Server supports only one DVR. Tuners are aggregated and Plex Media Server assumes all configured tuners are functioning

Can I add more than one DVR tuner?
Multiple tuners can be added from within the Plex Web app, provided you are using version 2.10.5 or newer. Tuners should be of the same type; all OTA or all cable, on the same Plex Media Server
Maybe I didn’t use the correct terminology. In my setup I have a single SAT>IP device with 4 satellite connections (tuners). In my PMS I have setup a single PVR pointing to my SAT>IP device and PMS is reporting that this single PVR has 4 tuners.
3 of the 4 satellite connectors (or tuners) are connected to a single Quad LNB; the 4th convector is unused. This means, all 3 feeds come from the same satellite position, i.e. Astra 28.2 E (Freesat) in my case. Plex manages to use those multiple feeds as it lets me record 3 programmes at the same time. Therefore, I would have thought, if one feed is in use by the Triax device, Plex would try and use the remaining 2 feeds.
There is currently no such resilience and tuners need to dedicated to Plex Media Server. I will mention it to the development team

While the previous release for me broke encoding and thus a broad spectrum of functionality, updating to 1.13.9.5439 got things working again. Now I am seeing recording happening again and remote streaming is also working.
@sa2000 - any update on how the bug fix is coming along for this?
The unable to tune errors due to the 5 second timeout seen mostly on PCIe and USB tuners (and also on networked tuners to an extent) has now been addressed in release 1.13.9.5456 which extended the timeout to 15 seconds
- (DVR) Extend initial timeout value for live TV tunes to avoid giving up on a tune too early (#9211)
It seems the latest version had reintroduced this issue. Extremely frustrating, no successful recordings since upgrading.

Yes a 10 second timeout was introduced in 1.14.0 - this came to light when I looked at logs provided here DVR & Live TV Completely broken in 1.13.8.5395 with WinTV dualHD and probably others
Please add your logs for tuning errors so we can confirm it is the same issue
