Thats the problem , they are being downloaded to my movies library. Please be patient with me lol
the tv show folder loads fine. I never have any of these small pieces in that
As @TeknoJunky mentioned earlier, you are adding the wrong folders to your library.
-
Delete every folder you have added to
stans movies. -
Add
G:\A. Based on the information you have shared, this is the only folder you need to add.
You do not add each movie, just the main folder holding all your movies.
Suggest you read the Naming and Organizing documentation provided earlier. You may need to make further changes to your file naming and organization.
This shows you have added an incorrect folder, possibly c:\users\stannash, to one of your libraries.
Find the library with such an entry and delete that folder path.
\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\ is a folder reserved for use by Plex Media Server.
It must not be added to a library, or Plex will not run correctly.
I am so lost. I just cant figure out how to do this stuff. Im afraid I am gonna delete or add something and then my plex is gonna be messed up
-
Go to Settings → Libraries.
-
Delete the library “stans movies”
-
Wait. It may take some some time for the server to delete the library. Watch the activity icon in the upper right corner.

-
Did all the small media files disappear from Plex?
No: Stop. Report back.
Yes: Proceed.
- Make a new movie library. You can call it “stans movies” if you want. Add
G:\Ato the library. Do not add any other folders.
Example: Deleting a Library
Ok I just did it and I deleted my tv shows folder as well. so far the small files havent reloaded. I will let you know if they do. I really appreciate ur help. Thank you very much!!
@stannash I would suggest that you create two folders (G:\Movies, G:\TV) and move the corresponding media to the correct folder. I would also suggest running it thru a file renamer/cleanup process I use Download - tinyMediaManager to standardize my naming. I think doing that along with following the recommended naming practices that plex has will make your issues go away.
Ok I will do that. Thanks alot
Plex Documentation → Your Media
Please go back and read the documentation regarding media organization and naming.
It will save you much time and trouble.
First, as @dbirch mentions, you must keep TV shows and movies separate in Plex. You cannot mix them in the same library.
Second, you must follow the naming and organization requirements, especially for TV shows. The naming and structure you show for 1883 will not work.
Third, when possible, use H.264 or H.265 video and MKV or MP4 containers. They are supported by all Plex clients. You’ll have less transcoding than when using something like XviD/MPEG4 video in AVI containers.
