My current server (#1) has a dual clear qam tuner which is recording shows/movies. The only issue with this site is the upload speed at the location is limited. I wanted to set up another server(#2) on my account which has faster upload speeds, but if i transfer some of the series recordings from #1 to #2, will it still know which shows still need to be recorded for the series?
Assuming if the above will work and the 2 servers will communicate on which shows it still needs to record, will it also work if i don’t enable remote access on server #2?
That kind of transferring between servers won’t working from within Plex and the two servers won’t communicate as for what episodes are still needed on the respective other machine.
for transferring the files, i was going to do that manually (either external hd/transfer over night). once transferred, if i re-scan the library one both servers, would that work and series shows only recording what hasn’t been recorded or will it still use only whats on server #1 for the episode list?
