24p/BluRay video "jumps" regularly during playback via Plex

When playing 24p video (ripped BluRay to MKV) from Plex – directly on the server using Plex Player, the video jumps about every two seconds. It plays for a bit and then jumps ahead as if it is resyncing or something. This does not happen when playing the same video using VLC.

For context, I’m running LinuxMint 21.3, an NVidia GeForce GTX 1050, AMD Ryzen 3 3300X CPU, Samsung 4TB NVMe SSD 990 Pro, 16GB RAM. and use a LG 55UM7300AUE UHD 4K 120Hz for display.

Do you experience the same with the Plex HTPC app or if you run the native LG WebOS client on the tv?

It runs fine there. So, I tried running it via the Linux desktop player on another computer and it ran fine there. Guess it is just and issue with the web player.
