My 2FA was not working, using google auth. It used to work before. I removed it, and attempted to re-add the 2FA, and it doesn’t work anymore it says “Invalid Verification code” every single time. I have waited for the code to change, to no avail. Attempted with Microsoft authenticator and ID.ME authenticator. Same thing. I have attempted with both Firefox and Edge browsers. Not sure where the disconnect is, I want to have 2fa on my plex. Anyone help.
The Google Authenticator app has nothing to do with a Google account.
(But you can use it to generate the 2FA verification codes.)
If you want to use Plex’s 2FA, you don’t pick “Login with Google” when signing into a Plex app.
I am just mentioning this, because you seem to also have linked your Plex account to a Google account. I don’t know what happens if you activate 2FA on your Google account (but I think Google handle the second security factor differently).
At this moment, 2FA is not activated on your Plex account.

Hint: from my own experience, the Google Authenticator app has a bug. It never creates a new code after the initial code has expired. I always need to force-close the authenticator app on my phone and then restart it, in order to get a valid code.
I don’t use my google account to log in, I usually type my username and password. I just unlinked the google account just in case that was the issue. I was using the google authenticator app to try to read the QR code. I am also using the Microsoft authenticator application. I have set 2FA before. I read the instructions you sent and that is exactly what I’m doing. I disabled it yesterday since the code wasn’t working. I Force stopped the google authenticator, restarted it, re-scanned the code, still getting Invalid verification code. I scanned the code with the Microsoft authenticator app, and same error. I’m not sure where the disconnect is, since i’m using two authenticator applications to scan the QR code, and my google account has been unlinked. Any other things that I can try?
Not really. I admit that I haven’t changed anything about my account lately.
Have you checked that all involved devices have accurate date and time? Secure communication protocols and 2FA are dependent on accurate time.

Well i’ll be darned… Realized my phone wasn’t set for automatically set date and time, unsure when that changed but regardless. Google authenticator still didn’t work. But the microsoft authenticator did. Thank you so much for your help.
