As the title says I’m on iOS 16.5 if that makes any difference but it feels broken in the same way the Linux build was on 4.7.1. When I launch the app it works ok for an hour or so and then… blank black screen. App doesn’t appear frozen, just… not doing anything. Restarting it gets you immediately back to the same place. Re-installing makes it work about for a seemingly non deterministic period of time.
Will it be fixed when 4.7.2 makes it to the App Store?
Hi, and sorry for the issue!
This looks like Plexamp iOS/Android black screen - #14 by ASiDiE
It is a different issue to the Linux was, and we’re still looking for clues to help debug the issue as we haven’t been able to get any logs, crash reports, or been able to reproduce the issue.
I do not see anything from you on BugSnag, not sure if you block it via DNS or it’s just not reporting.
Can you give us any clues as to what you’re doing to get the black screen? Any other context, such as: on LAN/WAN, custom home screen, playing vs idle, what you’re doing when you get the black screen, etc.
Feel free to answer on the other thread so we can keep clues in the same place.
I don’t actively block DNS on the iPhone or on my internet connection, straight up provider DNS. Is there a button I can press in the app?
I was listening to a downloaded playlist and it just stopped, took it out my pocket - blank. I removed the app, re-connected (I use 2FA) and just downloaded the same playlist again and used that. Today, it repeated the same behaviour.
I’m listening now to see if I can get it to go again.
You can use settings > advanced > debugging for sure, but once you’ve hit the issue, you can’t get to that screen anymore
