404 Not Found - can't get local access after update - HELP!

There is unfortunately no counterpart.
I do the best i can. Otto is very very helpful with Windows.

With “generic” type PMS problems, I’m ok on Windows platforms.
I do not understand their API / HW transcoding system.

DEBUG, not Verbose, logs (full ZIP set) are what I always need to see what happened.

Here is where my server is at now. I am upgrading as you read this.

Ok, here are the logs generated by the plugin you previously sent to me. These are for entries today and yesterday. Sorry this took so long (6MB) takes FOREVER on a 1mbps DSL line in the boonies.

Keep in mind I had to access these through the QNAP File Station since I have no GUI access to my Plex server.

As expected… “works for me” :joy:

What I need:

  1. ZIP’d log files (ether ZIP, tar.gz or normal extracted) of the entire Logs directory
  2. IP of the host, IP of the client.

For QNAP, that’s exactly what I hoped for. PMSLibShare access.

One small problem… No server logs. These are the Plug-in logs

Yup, we’ve been down this road before for another issue. Let me rezip them. I only grabbed the plugin directory. Should I grab everything for the last two days vs. the entire contents?

you beat me…

As I requested, the entire Logs directory

@ChuckPa Edited, as this message no longer needed?

You got it. Gimmie just a sec and I’ll have it up.

I am sending the requested info and will wait until you address QNAP issue. IP ADDRESSES.txt (91 Bytes)
Logs.zip (11.0 MB)

13MB on DSL. Arg.

Local host IP is 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.1.250 (the later is me coming in on a VPN)

son of a **@*#( it dropped the logs. Restarting now. It may take 10 min to get them up.

download_2019-04-24_17-29-45.zip (13.4 MB)

And sorry - to confirm:

Plex server IP is 192.168.1.71
Remote IPs: 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.1.250

Analysis of the Windows logs:

No errors except for Timeout trying to add all the media added / analyzed / updated

I strongly recommend:

  1. Enable IPv4 on that machine. IPv6 isn’t complete in PMS
  2. “Turn off IPv6” in Settings - Server - Network. leave the LAN as IPv4 if at all possible.

Not for nothing, but I think his email is visible in that quoted code…

Done…will try now

Apr 24, 2019 17:17:13.116 [0x7f816d6ac700] DEBUG - Checking if time for scheduled update

Bad install. The Plug-ins did not make it in place.

Please install again, on top of the existing.

Sorry Chuck, hate to be dense. Install Plex update again? Or plugin? If latter, which one?

Please reinstall the entire QPKG file again.

The installer brings the code and plug-ins (resources) with it. It’s a composite file.

I have reset the adapter, disabled IPv6…still cannot get to it from the outside?

Ok. Installing now. Would you have expected to see an error generated during the install (and shown by QNAP) when this happened? Keep in mind I installed the latest first, and when that didn’t work, I rolled back by installing a slightly older version. That’s where it currently sits before trying to do the lastest right now.

Edited to add: Reinstalled latest version. Now when I try to go to the local IP of the server, It spins indefinitely unable to find the server. Before it would instantly give the 404 error… Now it just says “waiting for connection”. It does this in incognito or normal.
