4k HDR starts transcoding at random times

In the past, I’ve noticed that when playing a 4k HDR HEVC file, my TV will play it normally direct stream for a random amount of time, then it will just start transcoding to x264. I have to stop playing the video, and start it back up to get it to do direct stream again. I do not have any picture issues or audio issues during these times.

I have recently noticed that when I turned subtitles to off instead of forced, it played the entire file without having to switch to transcoding. I am assuming subtitles are what’s causing this. They are srt subtitle files that are embed within my mkv video files.

Does anyone know why this happens and/or has a fix for it?
