Would you mind sharing some more details as for what versions of Plex Media Server and those clients you have installed? In addition:

  • are you playing your media in a wired or wireless network?
  • what kind of media are you trying to play (e.g. video/audio/subtitle codecs, bitrates…)? – you can copy the <Media>...</Media> section from Get Info... > Show XML
  • do you get the same result when you play the video using the desktop client (Plex for Windows/Mac – if applicable)?
