4K video buffering on Shield Tube

Can’t work out why Shield Tube is buffering when playing this video yet Shield 2017 plays it back fine.

Both direct stream it (no transcoding).

Both devices are gigabit cabled and the media is stored on a NAS.

The Shield 2017 is the PMS server.

The TV’s connected to both devices are only 1080p and the video is 2160p x265 HDR 10 EAC3 Atmos5.1 - around 10GB for 1 hour

Player/Server Version#:8.30.0.30944

any advice why this is happening would be appreciated.
