Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058
Player Version#: Latest on Shield 2019
My Plex Server is on my PC where my videos are located. I store only 4k remux files.
Plex Client is installed on nVidia Shield 2019. I tried running a movie through it, and it started buffering. Screen kept freezing and unfreezing.
I wasn’t transcoding anything. Everything was direct playing.
Both Shield and my PC are connected to the router via LAN cable
This is what it looks like in the Plex dashboard: https://prnt.sc/q5o38f
I was told million times to get Shield and then I wouldn’t have any buffering issues with Plex.
Please can someone assist me?!
We are ware of issues with the Shield Tube devices. This devices runs differently from the Pro or from the previous versions, we’re still trying to optimize it.
All recommendations regarding the Shield were probably before this Tube was introduced. Previous versions and the new Pro work great. These, not so much.
It depends. Not entirely sure what is causing the buffering. You’ll need to provide logs so we can look. We are aware of some issues, but they may or may not be directly related to the problems you are having.
From your image, I see the video you tried is 146 Mbps. With that high a bitrate, there could be other reasons for your buffering.
We are working to get the app working better on the Tube version but it does take some time.
Sure, was just asking.
I will gladly provide you logs. You will need to tell me how to do it and also under what circumstances.
I also did my LAN network speed test via iperf3, and got this result: (average transfer speed 924 Mbits/sec) https://prnt.sc/q67ftm
This was the LAN speed between my Server (PC) and Client (Shield)
