503 Service Unavailable error after it crashed and I had to reinstall

I get this error with the latest version of QNAP TS-869-PRO plex server: 503 Service Unavailable
http://gep:32400/web

I have the same setup on the exact QNAP system and it works fine. It appears something is stopping my QNAP from accessing port 32400.

Server Version#:PlexMediaServer-1.25.0.5246-cb2507e4d-x86_64.qpkg
Player Version#:Latest

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the latest .qpkg. I have the some error 503 service code.

Please grab the logs manually ?

I have several servers on my Plex environment, one being a windows server as well. When i uninstalll plex of this server are there files that i can manually clean up to start fresh. I think that’s the problem, there’s maybe files remembering my old configuration.

Thanks

The only memory of a preexisting server is its Server ID number which is stored on Plex.tv in your account records and in Preferences.xml

When you remove / delete a server locally, you must also delete it from Plex.tv

Thanks. I ended up deleting the PlexData folder on my Qnap, rebooted, reinstalled and deleting the server and now it works.

While the PlexData shared folder is only a placeholder,

FileStation will follow the link in there and delete what it’s pointing to.

In your case, it’s exactly what was needed to remove the data from /share/CACHEDEVx_DATA/.qpkg

Thanks for that, you are a life saver… Was hacking away this weekend and got very frustrated. I’ve noticed some wierd security issues as well. My brother just got his plex life time pass and I he shared a folder with me…and his account took over my account. Hence the reason why I had to rebuild one of my servers. It connected my other servers to his account. Have you ever heard or seen that?

Anyways, have a good day!

Be careful of “PlexHome”.

Don’t join his Plex Home. That’s probably what happened.

You two should just “Share Libraries” with each other.

Becoming a “Managed User” or “Home User” on his server will mask your server until you break from his home.
