I have updated to the latest DSM7 version. I’m now getting the following message when Plex opens " A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server."
When I try to manually install PMS-1.32.4.71 I get this error message From DMS7 " This package is not supported on the platform of Synology NAS or is incompatible with the current DSM version.
Try re-installing the current version first. Get that working, then update to a newer version.
Uninstall Plex Media Server.
In Package Manager: Uninstall, Are you sure = yes, choose Uninstall Only option.
Reboot the NAS.
Reinstall Plex Media Server using the version available in Package Center (1.29.2.6364).
Use the Plex Claim Token method. You should see a message “Plex Media Server successfully claimed by DevilMayHare.”
Make sure Plex is running, you can access your libraries, etc. When you are confident Plex is running correctly, you can then update to a newer version.
The DS420j has an ARMv8 CPU.
Make sure you download the DSM 7 / ARMv8 version of Plex Media Server.
Thanks for your help. Everything is ack up and running. I did have to rescan my libraries and found some files that wouldn’t scan. I deleted them and everything worked perfectly .
