for 3 straight days
I have been trying to configure Plex Media Server on my My Cloud EX2 NAS, still no luck
I manage to install the latest version of PMS on my NAS.
I can see the PMS icon under my Network Locations in my laptop
but when I try to connect to localhost:32400
the plex web page is working and it asks me for my user name and password , and it is working ,
but I am unable to connect from there to my nas server
I added port forwarding to my router
still confused ,
am I missing some thing ?
there is no such a clear documentations for the setup
this is what I did
1- stopped the services in My Cloud EX2
2- used Putty SSH to log in to my NAS folders
3- Traced all Plex folders and renamed them
4- went to the registries , searched for plex.tv and deleted them
5- removed Plex from My cloud ex2
6- restarted the NAS
7- reinstall it again
8- works fine for me now ,
Note: I have noticed some thing weird in Logs
Plex is using different username to access the NAS
while I was using different email than the one I found in plex log
